Bikeweek 2009 - What's happening in Aberdeen
Bikeweek the UK's annual festival of cycling runs from 13th to 21st June 2009, Across the UK over 25,000 events will be taking place, you can learn more at the Bikeweek website
In Aberdeen ACF is running a number of events to mark bike week
- ACF Commuter Challenge (13-21 June)- Use your bike to commute to work or study and you could be in with a chance of winning £200 )
- The Flying Scotsman (Wed 17th June) - A special showing of the "Flying Scotsman" at the Belmont cinema, followed by a Q&A sesison with Graeme Obree himself
- Try Cycling for Bike Week (Sun 14 and 21 June) - Looking for that perfect excuse to get on your bike, or been out the saddle for a while and need some practice or just want someone to cycle with, then why not come on down to the Bike Week Try Cycling?
- Dr Bike in St. Nicholas Square (Tue 16th June 08:00 - 10:00) - Bring your bike along and get a free once over by Edinbugh Bike Staff!
- CTC Grampian bike week "open rides" (various dates) - come and join CTC Grampian on a range of rides of different speeds and distances from 5 to 50 milees, for bike week all rides open to non members.
- ACF at the Highland Games (Sun 21st June) - coming to the games in hazelhead park, then drop by the ACF stall and say hello!
- The Skirts and Spokes Inaugural Ride (Thu 18 Jun) Join ACF'ladies for a short leisure ride before a friendly chat over a drink on cycling for women in Aberdeen
