Planned improvements to the Westhill-Kingswells Cycle path

Planned in this financial year is an "upgrade" of the new cycle path from Westhill to Kingswells. The plans ACF have seen include better crossings across side junctions and - about time - a signalised crossing at Kingswells. There are still issues to resolve around the 'parking bay' just beyond the petrol station and the constraint of property boundaries that result in the path being too narrow in places. The work also includes a link to the Lang Stracht."

Also on the cards, but awaiting more details, is a "level link" between the Deeside line and Garthdee, preventing the need to carry your bike up and down the steps to Pitfodels station road
